My previous washer/dryer was a smaller Maytag unit which I believe was the original unit when the apartment was built in 1996. It was rusting out on the bottom but still worked fine until December 2022 when the on knob wouldn't work. I bought this new Frigidaire unit to replace the Maytag. My neighbor's unit also broke down at the same time, and she and her husband asked me to go in with them to perhaps get a better price. I did not do any researching and would not have chosen this brand if I had but accepted it because it is what my neighbors chose. I do not use the dryer but instead hang my clothes to dry on a lightweight aluminum hanging system like the ones used when a person puts luggage on a rolling cart to leave and enter a motel. I am surprised at how loud my new washer is. It sounds like something is grinding the clothes. The time it takes per load is about an hour vs about half an hour for my Maytag. Of course, I would prefer it to be faster, but having clean clothes is the important thing. The instructions say not to wash water repellent or water resistant clothes. Please give me examples of these types of cothing. I am washing my winter parka which I believe is water resistant or water repellent . I use the bulky setting. It seems to me that in these days many clothes would be water resistant or water repellent, and people would expect to launder them in their home washing machines. I am getting used to the odd way of adding the detergent before the clothes, but I do not make the clothes into a ball when I put them into the machine. So far this seems okay except for a few dry spots on some of my knit slacks. I miss having a permanent press setting, and often do the load over on the rinse and spin setting to lessen wrinkles. I use warm water on the medium or low setting for most loads. I am also careful to use delicates on some clothes to try to reduce the wrinkles. Thank you.

It washes great but it is very noisy. Sounds like the drum hits the sides when spinning. It also starts and stops multiple times before washing.. The dryer is ok but has its quirks with the lint filter.

The washing machine does a superb job cleaning the clothes! our former unit was a front loader and the difference with the top loader is day and night. Minor complaint is that the washer lid would be easier if it lifted from the side to avoid head hitting when removing clothes. The dryer is great! No complaints there at all!

So far I really love this washer dryer. The only thing is with the dryer you don™™t really know how much time it has drying left. It has no countdown. If you put it on the timed cycles like 30, 60, 90, you have no clue how long it is been drying or how close it is to finishing. Same with the other selections. That is my only complaint. But I will put my timer in there to know. Otherwise it washes and dries the clothes great.

I have tried to use this washer 2 times since I purchased the appliance. The machine was delivered around January 14-21. Each time, the machine will add water and drain water but will NOT agitate, or spin. I can hear the motor working, but nothing happens.

The stackable electric washer & dryer was a replacement for an older unit purchased in 2006! This new unit has a feature named ™balanced load™ it took me approx. 24 hours just to get through 1 load and some Never lit up: I had to ring my clothes!! Let™™s say the item went back to Home Depot!!!

We mainly bought this unit for an airbnb since it is stackable and space saving. Washer/dryer both work great. My one complaint is a normal washing machine cycle seems to take longer than I would expect. I haven't "timed' it yet but it definitely takes longer than I am used to, and it seems the spin cycle lasts forever. So, if you have time on your hands, this is a good product. If you are looking for a fast machine, this is not it.

I™™ve only had this for a couple weeks and so far the washing machine seems ok. I haven™™t tried my king size comforter though. My issue is the dryer. Although I empty the lint filter every time the lint is everywhere after every drying cycle. I literally have to swiffer the entire door and outside of the drum. I tried to call the number on the machine, but they are not open on the weekends. I will call on Monday to see if there is something I can do.
