So many things I like about this machine. It has so many options, yet it remembers the ones you like the best and offers those first. It's quiet, and vibration is low. I like being able to select how much water I want to use. If you want to use hot water, you can select hot and it's quite hot. This has not been my experience with my former LG frontloader. Everything comes out nicely with no twisting or getting out of balance. I did a lot of research and looking, and am so glad I chose this washer!

Very disappointing washer

Told not to use Normal ECO button. Use Perma Press for regular wash. Adding detergent BEFORE clothes is a first. Washer takes twice as long as all of my previous washers. This washer (Model TR7003WN) is very loud.

I bought this washing machine from a trusted local appliance retailer, of which I have purchased many kitchen appliances over the years. Although his store sells many washers and dryers by most manufacturers, he recommended the speed Queen based on his own experience. The speed queen washer has exceeded my expectations, it spin dries my heavy cloths effortlessly with no vibration or noise. I love the agitator as I did not have 1 in my Samsung washer. I thought I might not be able to fit large items in this washer, but to my surprise I can fit very large items even with the agitator. Does not dissolve soap or clean clothes

This is the worst machine I've ever owned. It does not dissolve soap, leaving blotchy soap stains on our clothes. I've tried every troubleshooting trip out there: use 2T of soap max, use warm water, use an extra rinse, HE detergent, underfill with clothes, do not use the normal cycle, do not use cold water, etc. Clothes also come out dirty. I've tried 7 different detergents. I don't use fabric softener. The store where I purchased the machine had a 72-hour return policy and I did not realize the degree of the problem that quickly. Several expensive articles of clothing have been ruined by repeated rewashings to remove the soap stains. The reviews on this website are very positive, but when you search for the issues I'm having there are many reports of these problems. This machine fails in every way.

I've had close to 7 different brands of washers over past 30 years. A couple lasted 5-6 years. Most of them started to rattle, shake and make stripped gear noises as soon as they came off warranty. This unit as soon as I got it installed it was running smooth as silk. It cleans much better than any washer before it. It seems to be a very good, well made machine. Like that is the only wash machine I've had that's been made in the good old USA!

I have had front loaders for the past 19 years and they have been great, except for the fact that the average lifespan of these machines is about 5 years. I got tired of paying $900 every time they died. The appliance repairman told me about Speed Queen when he came to repair my front loader from a different brand, and I didn't listen to him. I replaced that machine with another front loader, and that one lasted for 2 years. The same repairman said "I told you to buy a Speed Queen" so that's how I ended up with this one. It cleans great, it's quiet, it has all the cycles I need, and it comes with a 7 year parts and labor warranty. Very happy with this purchase.

Damaged clothing first use

First time using this and it ruined five clothing items. There was a sharp edge in the wash basin that needed to be sanded down. The customer service was awful, as they only cover their products and not damage to my items. Very disappointed in the response. The local store was much more concerned and apologetic and did fix the sharp piece, but the response from Speed Queen left a lot to be desired.

My beloved Red LG washer was on life support The home warranty company was debating repair or replace. I'm mind I knew it wasn't going to continue. It sounded like a plane taking off and at the end of the spin cycle there would be smoke. I was getting tired of being on standby with a fire hydrant so I began to shop. I like nice things. I decided despite reviews that the GE combo washer dryer would be a good fit for my home with three dogs. Not. But I wanted to see it and touch it. I went to Brandsmart since it was on the way home and they have good finance offers. It is a there that my hands touched the black Speed Queen. I immediately fell in love. It looked and felt different than anything else on the floor. So I endured a few more days of standby with fire hydrant until home warranty company have last rites. Since buying my set I will have to say that we have used it like a commercial washer and dryer. We look for things to wash. My senior dog who leaks allows us to wash her bedding daily. This machine is sexy and small and quiet. I am still in love.

TR7 Biggest Disappointment

We recently had to purchase a new washer and dryer. Our 8 year old Maytag Bravo XL needed replaced. We looked into speedqueen because we were tired of having to replace other brands every 7-8 years, some a little sooner. And 20+ years sounded like a great deal. After recommendations from a couple different appliance shops, and a couple different friends who own older ones, we pulled the trigger. We went with the TR7 It is truly the worst washer and dryer I have ever owned! Horrible cleaning! Clothes that came out clean in other units were now coming out with stains that didn't come out. Or having to wash same load multiple times. Plus for some reason, my work shirts are the dri wick golf style shirts, and this machine destroyed them. After close to a month, my wife also mentioned how she felt like we made a mistake. She hated the TR7 also. So our local appliance shop let us return them for something else. So either we just happened to get defective units, or the TR7 is not nearly as good as others.

I bought one of their first digital display/control washers and was concerned about the life of electronic devices like displays. It is around 8 years old and runs and looks like new. I really like the simplicity of this machine. My appliance repair man suggested this brand because it is made in the USA and a fabulous warranty. Parts are also easy to come by. My only complaint is softner is often left in the bottom of the tub after the wash is completed. I'm also sorry I bought the top loader because now I can't do comforters.

Be Careful! Go Further Than a Simple Google Search

This is our second TR7 series washer in matter of 3 months. Our first unit went out in the first month of ownership... It had a bad electrical board and we had substanial squealing sounds within the last 4mins of the spin cycle. The dealer we purchased the unit from replaced it. Within the first month, the second new unit started making the same loud squealing noise during the last 4min of the spin cycle. If you search "Speed Queen TR7 squealing" you will find a Reddit thread and TikTok videos of consumers with the same issues we have had. This has been a nightmare. Worst appliance purchase we've made. We were so excited because of the Speed Queen name, but it's been a major let down. We are still having issues and are having no luck with Speed Queen service providers. If I were to do it again, I would likely not buy Speed Queen or I would buy something in the TC series.

Very happy from a short time user

We purchased a new set of Speed Queen washer and dryer for our new home. So far, they have both worked flawlessly and the clothes are coming out was cleaner and softer than expected. This is from a short term user, so we will have to wait and see how the long term useability goes.
